issue 2

welcome

new reviews

Welcome to fakejazz.com's third issue. You may have already noticed that there aren't any new articles or interviews this issue. Hey, you can always reread old articles, though, right? Hopefully the ton of new reviews in this issue will make up for the lack of articles; there should be enough for you to waste at least a few minutes.

Usually in this space (haha... 3 issues and I'm already saying "usually"), we mention the artists that we interviewed and wrote articles on. Since there aren't any, I thought I'd mention the two releases that got perfect ratings this issue in our reviews section, Piano Magic's Artists' Rifles and Rothko's Storm Cycle 10". Both of these bands are from the UK and most if not all of their releases have been on British labels, so if you haven't heard them yet, check out the reviews.

If you're only interested in reading reviews of really good records (or really bad ones--whatever turns you on), then you should know that I recently augmented our search feature with extra fields for specifying the desired rating, month, and/or author for your query. Want to know each record that got a 10 out of 12? Just select "10 out of 12" and press Search!.

If you like our site or have any comments, drop us a line or leave a note on our message board. We heart feedback. If you own a fakebusiness and want to advertise on our site, we have a special introductory rate of $5 for the first 90 days. Contact us if you'd like more information. If you are in a band or own a label, send us your stuff, and we'll review it; it's that easy.

Thanks for stopping by.
